The purpose of this research is to study the effects of the teaching method on the teaching of molecular geometry to the students of science, the identification and elimination of the students' existing knowledge and conceptual errors and the development of the students' modeling skills. The research was attended by a total of 35 students who studied in the 1st class of the Faculty of Science and Information Education. In the study, a single sample was used in the pre-final test semi-experimental pattern. Scientific knowledge students were asked to answer questions about the molecules of CH4, NH3, H2O before and after application and to model these molecules. The study found that the link angle determined in the pre-test in the drawings by groups, the molecular geometry and the false display of the electron group geometry were completely eliminated for the H2O molecule in the last test, and that the NH3 and CH4 molecules were not completely eliminated. In addition, the preliminary test determined that the non-identification of the types of atoms in the structure of the molecule, the non-identification of the unassociated pair of electrons in the structure of its molecules, the false indication of the number of electrons that are not connected with lack of information, as well as the false indication of the number of electrons that are not connected with the lack of information, were removed in the last test.
