Turizm sektöründe, turist beklentisi en kıymetli unsurlardan biridir. Turist, her ne kadar turu acenteden satın almış olsa da, acenteyi temsil edecek ve turisti turdan beklediği şekilde ayrılmasını sağlayacak kişi, profesyonel turist rehberidir. Donanımlı bir turist rehberi turun başlangıcından bitişine kadar, bağlı olduğu kurumu en iyi şekilde temsil edecek kişidir. Turistin beklentilerini öngörüp; ülkesini, destinasyonu en iyi şekilde tanıtarak, tur boyunca turistin beklentileri doğrultusunda turu gerçekleştiren turist rehberlerine bu çalışmanın verimli olacağı öngörülmektedir. Mevcut araştırmanın amacı, yerli turistlerin profesyonel turist rehberlerinden beklentilerini belirlemeye yöneliktir. Anket çalışması, kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile araştırmacı tarafından yüz yüze ve internet üzerinden 10 Ocak – 02 Şubat 2020 tarihleri arasında yerli turistlere uygulanmıştır. Toplamda, 416 anket değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, ortalama, standart sapma, çapraz tablolama, t-testi, ANOVA ve faktör analizi, teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, araştırmanın esasını oluşturan yerli turistlerin, profesyonel turist rehberlerinden genel beklentilerinin önem derecesine göre sıralamalarında, profesyonel turist rehberlerinden genel beklentilerinin birinci önceliğinin, “destinasyon hakkında yeterli bilgi sahibi” olması olduğu, en çok aranan tur beklentisinin “tur esnasında, Türk kültürü hakkında bilgi almayı umuyorum (4,4399)” olduğu belirlenmiştir.
In the tourism sector, tourist expectations are one of the most valuable elements. The tourist is a professional tourist guide who will represent the agency, although the tour has been purchased from the agency, and the person that will allow the tourist to leave the way the tour is expected. A equipped tourist guide is the person from the beginning to the end of the tour, who will best represent the institution to which he is affiliated. It is expected that this work will be efficient for tourists who make the tour according to the expectations of the tourist during the tour, by predicting the expectations of the tourist and by presenting their country, their destination in the best way. The current research aims to determine the expectations of local tourists from professional tourist guides. The survey study was applied to local tourists on the face-to-face and internet by the researcher with the easy sampling method from 10 January to 02 February 2020. In total, there were 416 reviews. In data analysis, the techniques of average, standard deviation, cross-table, t-test, ANOVA and factor analysis, have been used. According to the findings obtained, in the rankings of local tourists, which form the basis of the research, according to the importance of their general expectations from professional tourist guides, the first priority of their general expectations from professional tourist guides is to be "a sufficient knowledge about the destination", the most sought tour expectation is "when the tour, I hope to get information about the Turkish culture (4,4399)"
Tourist expectation is one of the most important factors in the tourism industry. Although a tourist may have purchased a tour from a travel agency, the person representing that agency and ensuring that the tourist ends the tour as expected is responsibility of the professional tour guide. A well-prepared tour guide is the person who, from beginning to end, best represents the agency to which he or she is connected. A good tour guide anticipates the expectations of the tourist. A study of the role of tour guides should be helpful in understanding how important a tour guide in organizing the tour and effectively introducing the destinations to the tourists. The aim of the present research is to determine the expectations of local tourists from professional tourist guides. The survey was applied to local tourists by the researcher face-to-face and online between January 10 - February 02, 2020 using the convenience sampling method. In total, 416 questionnaires were evaluated. In analyzing the data, the following techniques were used: mean, standard deviation, cross tabulation, t-test, ANOVA and factor analysis. According to the findings from local tourists, who were the basis of the research, the most important expectations regarding the tour guide were that the guide had "sufficient knowledge about the destination" and that the guide was "knowledgeable about Turkish culture" as they "hoped to gain more information about it.
