Abstract Along with aiming to follow the latest developments in the field of tour guiding, the National Tour Guiding Conference also aims to discuss and bring solutions to the current issues regarding the tour guiding profession together with academic members specialized in this field, sectoral representatives, and tour guides. This study aims to present the bibliometric profile of the papers presented in the National Tour Guiding Conferences held between 2018 and 2022. 218 papers presented in these conferences were analysed based on bibliometric parameters, such as the number of papers by years, multiple authorship, academic title distribution, collaborations among institutions, research subject, data sources of the research, research method, data collection methods, and data sources. It was found that the greatest number of papers were published in 2018, the papers with two co-authored papers had the highest rate among others, and the greatest number of papers were written by assistant professors. It was also found that Balıkesir University made the greatest contribution to these conferences and collaborated with other institutions; special interest tourism was the most discussed subject in these conferences; the most frequently used method was the qualitative method, and the researchers mostly referred to documents as data sources. It was found that there were not any bibliometric research studies in the literature regarding the National Tour Guiding Conferences. At this point, this research becomes significant in terms of filling a gap and contribute to the literature.
