Abstract This text is a result of the Seminar “Right to Education and Forgotten Childhoods: what future?”, which is part of the seminars “The future starts now: research and graduate studies in education, helping to think about Brazil”, sponsored by the Associação Nacional de Pós-graduação e Pesquisa em Educação (Anped), throughout the year 2022. To address the topic, we had the participation of three researchers from different ANPEd working groups and who are dedicated to discussing childhoods from different perspectives: in the city, especially in Rio de Janeiro communities, indigenous children, African and Afro-Brazilian literature for children.
