Abstract:

Shifts in the international system, the growing role of civil society actors, and the people have led to the emergence of new forms of diplomacy alongside traditional diplomacy. In this case, one of the diplomacies, which is have importing roll and applying by countries is public diplomacy. Public Diplomacy; One of the newest methods of the tradition of diplomatic relations, which is interested to use and influence in thoughts of the elite and general public of the target society the national interest of the country. Saudi Arabia is one of the most important countries that use public diplomacy to policy and influence public opinion in the Middle East. This descriptive-analytical study seeks to answer thequestion: what are the sources and tools that increase the influence of public diplomacy in Saudi Arabia in the region and the Islamic world? As result, it has been seen to be; the resources and tools of public diplomacy in the country are based on religion, Islamic tourism, science, education, Hajj, university, media, and so on. It seems, Saudi Arabia is trying to use these tools to increase its soft power and influence in the region and the Islamic world.
