Abstract:

The political man uses the media as the most basic tool to build his ideological hegemony. Because the sovereign speech predicts the ideology and provides the media with the most appropriate environments to impose it. With this dimension, its effective power in the guidance of the masses, from determining the agenda, to changing the agenda, from perception management to propaganda, makes it unnecessary. Based on this interaction, power and power often build their sovereignty through political speech on the media. It is at this point that the critical speech analysis, which arises as a critical method, examines the speech by highlighting the contextual and perceptual situation on which the speech is based. In this study, the two outstanding French press newspapers Le Monde and Le Figaro examined how the ruling speech was structured in the language of the news and how autonomous ideologies were politized. Based on Van Dijk’s Critical Speech Analysis Method, it has been revealed what kind of indicators are defined by social actors, events, events and processes, what kind of arguments are used in speeches and what perspectives are based on the names, imits and references in speeches.
