Individual pension systems have a significant contribution to both individuals and to the financial system and economic development of any country. In order to make this contribution sustainable, individuals need to be permanent. On the other hand, policy makers should effectively design the system. It appears that some countries implement automatic participation system to increase their participation in the system. The aim of the study is to determine the level of employees in Turkey remaining in the automatic participation system, to find out whether individual perceptions, financial information and financial behavior create differences on insurance behavior. Therefore, in the Covid-19 period, an online survey was easily done through sampling and 778 people participated in the survey. The data is analyzed with the SPSS program. The results show that 47.3% of people in the automatic participation system have gone out of the system in the last three years. The increase in the positive perception of individuals about the automatic participation system in the individual pension system shows that the increase in financial knowledge and financial behavioral skills positively affects the automatic participation. The findings of the study show that it is necessary to increase the level of knowledge about the pension system and to ensure the transparency and freedom of choice that participants need in the automatic participation system.
