Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal the perceptions of judo players about the concept of judo by means of metaphors. The research w as prepared in a qualitative model and the phenomenology w as used. Research of The Individual Cadet Judo championship in 2018 w as randomly selected from athletes competing and in the study w ere involved total 235 judokas w ho are 71 w omen judokas, 164 men judokas 15-17 age group . Data w ere collected by question w ith “Judo is like… Because…” open-ended question. At the end of the research data have been reached on the perception of judo concept. At the end of the research data on the judo concept of male and female judo 15-17 age group w ho are interested in judo sport have been reached. In the evaluation of the data, case science content analysis w as used. According to the results of the study, a total of 143 metaphors w ere obtained and these metaphors w ere evaluated under 10 categories. Most mentioned metaphor "life" that is seen. The reason for this is judo values education and the effect of philosophical education program. It w as also found that participants mostly developed positive metaphors
