This study aims to present solutions by referring to the policies implemented by China, a successful country in terms of savings increase, to the problem of the chronic savings gap in the Turkish economy. The study analyzes the period between the year 2015 and the year 1980 that they are similar to the economic structure. The result of the study is that the Turkish economy has shown a fragil structure until the 2000s and has been exposed to crises because it is not structually prepared for the financial liberalization process. After the 2000s, the problem of savings gap has not yet been solved due to the shift of income growth to luxury consumption. In China, with the adoption of market socialism as an economic structure, there are interference in economic and demographic life, such as pay and price controls and one-child practice in the sense of family planning. In this regard, voluntary savings in the Chinese economy are widely believed. But unlike what is known, while the consciousness of savings is influenced by the Confucius culture, savings are largely made mandatory by the government. In other words, autonomous spending is pressed by the state. This situation is a problem in terms of the spread of prosperity in democratic countries, as well as the improvement of macroeconomic variables in the Turkish economy, as well as increased savings consciousness. In this study, the increase in savings in terms of economic policies as well as the loss of well-being has resulted in the result that intervening practices have increased policy efficiency.
