Abstract:

This study aims to compare the professional self-qualifications and innovative attitudes of body education teachers and other branch teachers and to study the relationship between the concepts in body education and sports teachers. In the 2018-2019 educational year, 176 men and 65 women who worked in the Grandçekmece district participated in the study as a total of 241 teachers voluntarily. The research data was collected using the innovative attitude scale and the professional self-sufficiency scale. In the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney U test and Spearman Correlation analysis were used. According to the branch variable, it is understood that the participant body education teachers' professional self-sufficiency scores and innovative attitudes are significantly higher than the other branch teachers' low-dimensional scores. The analysis of the relationship involved in the research has found a statistically meaningful relationship between the levels of physical education and the professional self-capability of sports teachers and the dimensions of the "premium approach" from the subdimensions of innovative attitude and the dimensions of the "open approach to innovation".
