İlk Ergenlik Dönemindeki Öğrencilerin Bilişsel Çarpıtmaları ve Sosyal Fobi Belirti Düzeyleri Arasındaki İlişki

Bu araştırmada, ilk ergenlik dönemi (12-14 yaş) öğrencilerinde bilişsel çarpıtma düzeyi ile sosyal fobi belirti düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki ve bu düzeyleri etkileyen faktörler incelenmiştir. Adana il merkezinde eğitim alan ve basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile araştırmaya alınan ortaokul düzeyindeki toplam 591 öğrenciden 257’si erkek, 334’ü kızdır. Tarama modelinde yapılan bu araştırmada, ölçme araçları olarak, “Ergenler İçin Mantık dışı İnançlar Ölçeği (EMİÖ)” ve “Çapa Çocuk ve Ergenler Sosyal Fobi Ölçeği (ÇESFÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan bulgular incelendiğinde, EMİÖ puanları arttıkça ÇESFÖ puanlarının da arttığı görülmüştür (r=0.66). Başarı odaklı olma puanı (mantık dışı inançlar alt ölçeği) arttıkça sosyal fobi ölçeği puanlarının arttığı görülmüştür. Mantık dışı inanç düzeyleri azaldıkça öğrenci ortalama başarı düzeyi yükseldiği görülmüştür. Anne baba tutumlarını ilgisiz olarak tanımlayan öğrencilerin ÇESFÖ puanlarının arttığı görülmüştür. Araştırmadan ulaşılan sonuçlar; mantık dışı inanç düzeyinin yüksek olmasının sosyal fobi belirti düzeyinin de yüksek olmasına neden olabileceğini düşündürmektedir. Öğrencilerin ders başarısı, aile yapısı gibi faktörlerin mantık dışı inançlar düzeyi ve sosyal kaygı düzeyleri üzerinde etkili olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Relationship Between Intellectual Disorders of Students in Early Adolescence and Social Fobia Symptoms Levels

Abstract:

This study studied the relationship between the levels of cognitive distortion and social phobia symptoms in students of the first adolescence (12-14 years) and the factors affecting these levels. A total of 591 students at the high school level studied in the center of Adana province and studied by simple random sampling method, 257 are men and 334 are girls. In this study, the scan model used the measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement measurement. When the findings were studied, it was seen that the EMIU points increased and the CESFU points increased (r=0.66). As the score of success-focused (the low scale of unreasonable beliefs) increases, the scale of social fobia has increased. As the unrational levels of beliefs decrease, the student’s average level of success has risen. Students who describe their parents’ attitudes as uninterested have increased their CESF score. The findings from the research suggest that the high level of unrational belief may also cause the high level of social phobia signs. It is understood that factors such as the course success of students, family structure, have an impact on the level of unlogic beliefs and social anxiety.

In this research, the relationship of cognitive distortions levels with symptoms of social phobia levels among the students in early adolescence (12-14 years), and some of the factors affecting these levels were examined. Out of 591 students, who were educated-, at secondary schools in the city of Adana and selected by simple random sampling, 257 were males and 334 were females in the research. Descriptive model was used in this research. “Irrational Beliefs Scale for Adolescents (IBSA/EMİÖ)" and "Çapa Social Phobia Scale for Children and Adolescents (CSPSA/ÇESFÖ)" were used as measurement tools. Examining the results obtained, CSPSA/ÇESFÖ scores were seen to increase as IBSA/EMİÖ scores increased. Social phobia scores were found to increase as the scores of being success-oriented (irrational beliefs subscale) increased. Students’ average achievement levels were observed to increase as their irrational beliefs levels increased. CSPSA/ÇESFÖ scores of the students, who identified their parents’ attitudes as indifferent, were seen to increase. The results of the research suggested that high levels of irrational beliefs might have been the reason for high levels of social phobia. Factors such as students' academic achievements and family structure were found to be effective on levels of irrational beliefs and social anxiety.
