Yüzyıllardır ülkeden ülkeye, bölgeden bölgeye farklılıklar göstererek, geniş bir kullanım alanını kapsayan Tamamlayıcı ve Alternatif Tıp (TAT) uygulamaları, günümüzde de sıkça tedavi yöntemi olarak kullanılmaktadır. Alternatif tıp tedavisi alan hastaların tedavi sonrası düşünceleri de bu tedavi yöntemini kullanmayı düşünenlere yol gösterici olacağı aşikardır. Kartopu örnekleme yöntemiyle ulaşılan 50 katılımcının alternatif tıp kavramına bakış açıları metaforlar aracılığıyla bu araştırmayla incelenmiştir. Katılımcıların ürettiği 14 metafor 6 kategori altında toplanarak içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Alternatif tıp denince akla ağrıları azaltan, enerji veren, psikolojik açıdan rahatlatan, kan dolaşımını hızlandıran, hastalıkların oluşumunu engelleyen, bağışıklık sistemini destekleyen bir kavram geldiği metaforlarla vurgulanmıştır.
For centuries, complementary and alternative medicine (TAT) practices, which cover a broad scope of use, showing differences from country to country, region to region, are often used as a method of treatment today. It is clear that the post-treatment thoughts of patients receiving alternative medicine will also guide those who consider using this method of treatment. The views of 50 participants to the concept of alternative medicine achieved by the method of cartopus sampling were studied through metaphors with this study. The 14 metaphors produced by the participants were collected under 6 categories and subjected to content analysis. When alternative medicine is called, it is emphasized by metaphors where a concept comes that reduces mental pain, gives energy, relieves psychically, accelerates blood circulation, prevents the formation of diseases, supports the immune system.
