Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin cebirsel ifadelerle işlem sürecine ilişkin alan bilgilerini incelemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılının güz döneminde Çanakkale ilinde görev yapan üç ortaokul matematik öğretmeni katılmıştır. Öğretmenler aynı okulda görev yapmaktadır. Katılımcılar amaçlı örneklem yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Durum çalışması desenlerinden çoklu durum çalışmasının kullanıldığı bu çalışmada öğretmenlerin her biri ayrı bir durum olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırma verileri sınıf içi gözlemler ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmede öğretmenlere ders sürecindeki durumlara yönelik sorular yöneltimiştir. Gözlem sırasında gözlem notları oluşturulmuştur. Dersler video kamera ve görüşmeler ses kayıt cihazı ile kayıt altına alınmıştır. Öğretmenlerin cebirsel ifadelerle işlemler konusunu işledikleri dersleri 4 ders saati gözlenmiştir. Sonrasında her bir öğretmenle yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri betimsel analiz yoluyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın güvenirliği için veriler iki araştırmacı tarafından kodlanmıştır. Kodlayıcıların analizleri karşılaştırılmış ve %92 kod uyumuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, öğretmenlerin cebirsel ifadelerle işlem sürecine ilişkin alan bilgilerinin yeterli düzeyde olmadığını göstermiştir. Öğretmenler cebirsel ifadelerle işlem sürecini ‘meyve-salata’ yaklaşımını kullanarak açıklamışlardır. İki öğretmen ‘benzer terimler’ ve ‘benzer olmayan terimler’ yaklaşımını kullanmış, ancak bu yaklaşımı kural odaklı ele almışlardır. Öğretmenler cebirsel ifadenin matematiksel anlamına yönelik alternatif yaklaşımlar kullanmamışlardır.
The purpose of this research is to study the field information related to the process of the high school mathematics teachers with cybersecurity expressions. The research has been used for the study of quality research patterns. The research was attended by three high school mathematics teachers who worked in the province of Çanakkale during the good period of the 2019-2020 educational year. Teachers work in the same school. Participants are determined by the measurement of the sample methods for the purpose of sample. In this study, in which the study of the situation patterns used the multi-situation study, each of the teachers was treated as a separate situation. The research data was collected through class-in-class observations and semi-configured conversations. In a semi-configured interview, he asked the teachers about the situations in the course of the course. The observation notes were created during the observation. The lessons are recorded with the video camera and the conversations with the audio recording device. Teachers have been trained for 4 hours in the classroom. After that, a half-built meeting was held with each teacher. The research data was analyzed through visual analysis. For the reliability of the research, the data was coded by two researchers. The analysis of the coders was compared and achieved 92% code compatibility. The findings obtained from the research showed that teachers' field information about the process of processing with jiberal expressions was not sufficient. Teachers have explained the process by using the "fruit-salate" approach. The two teachers used the "like terms" and "non-like terms" approach, but they took this approach to the rule-focused. Teachers have not used alternative approaches to the mathematical meaning of the jiberal expression.
