Özet:

Genc-i Edeb, it is a mesnevi penned in the form of a nazire for Nizâmî's Mahzenü'l-Esrâr by Ismail Nakâm, a poet who lived in the Azerbaijan geography in the 19th century. In mesnevi consisting of thirty-one articles and 4123 couplets, poet has revealed his poetry ability and perspective on life. The purpose of writing the poet's work is to convey what he described as treasures of decency. Nakam who founded his work on the concept of decency, is pouring into couplets with its unique saying beauty and richness of imagination, in supporting the decency base described in each article with different examples, stories, hadiths and verses. On this occasion, he gives the reader various advice and shows happiness in the world and hereafter through the concept of "decency". In this study, firstly, the life, art and works of Ismael Nakam are briefly mentioned; later, the subjects and couplet examples that the poet has dealt in his article are included, the points seen regarding the decency are specified. Thus, it was tried to introduce Nakam, who was not excluded from the interest he deserved during his time and the decency bases in Genc-i Edeb, which he wrote in the late life of the poet, were asked to be transferred.
