Abstract In the study, the mediating role of emotional labor in the effect of job insecurity perception on organizational alienation is questioned. The aim of this questioning is to make inferences about the working attitudes created by the uncertain working conditions in the labor market's globalization, flexibility, increasing unemployment figures and growing competition environment. In the study, in which the field research technique is used, a questionnaire consisting of four parts is used as a data collection tool. The universe of the study consists of the employees of the five-star accommodation business operating in Istanbul, determined by the deliberate sampling method. According to the results of the questionnaire applied to 220 employees, it was determined that the perception of job insecurity improves emotional labor behavior in order to ensure employability, emotional labor reduces the feelings of organizational alienation, and the partial mediation effect of emotional labor. The study gains autonomy, as the results of the research showing that emotional labor improves positive work attitude offer a different perspective from the criticisms of emotional labor in the literature.
