Bu çalışma eski Araplar’ın yazıyı nasıl öğrendiklerini, yazıya dair açtıkları okulları, eğittikleri öğretmenleri ve cahiliye döneminde yazarların konumunun nasıl olduğunu açıklamayı hedeflemektedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda cahiliye döneminden beri yazı öğretmenlerinin bulunduğu, Mekke, Taif, Medine, Hire vb. Uygar çevrelerde özel yazı okullarının bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu okullara devam eden kadın ve erkeklerin eşit miktarda olduğu, hem şairler gibi toplumun elit tabakası tarafından hem de sıradan insanlar tarafından bilinir olduğu görülmüştür. O dönemde yazarlar sosyal statü anlamında kamil insanlar olarak sayılırlardı. Yazının yanında okçuluk, yüzme ve şiir söyleme gibi yeteneklere de sahiplerdi. Bu bilgileri öğrenmek için halk tarafından ziyaret edilen kütüphaneler de mevcuttur.
This study aims to explain how ancient Arabs learned writing, the schools they opened about writing, the teachers they taught, and how the writers were in the ignorance period. The result of the study was that since the period of ignorance there were writer teachers, Mekka, Taif, Medine, Hire, etc. There are private literary schools in the civic surroundings. It has been seen that the equal number of women and men who go to these schools is known both by the elite layer of society as poets and by ordinary people. At that time, the writers were regarded as a social status. In addition to his writing, he also had the skills of art, swimming, and poetry. There are also libraries that are visited by the public to learn this information.
