Belirli bir çevre içerisinde yaşayan bireyin varoluşunu sağlayan değerler sistemi kendini ait hissettiği toplumla bütünlük arz etmektedir. Bireyin varoluşu ve kendini gerçekleştirmesi sadece fiziksel varlığının farkındalığından daha derin bir anlam taşımaktadır. Bunun sebebi var olmanın değerler üzerine kurulu bir medeniyeti gerektirmesidir. Medeniyetin ortaya çıkması da ancak kendisini tanımlayabileceği felsefî bir bilincin ortaya çıkmasıyla gerçekleşebilmektedir. Bizlerin de içinde yer aldığımız İslam Medeniyeti, İslamiyet’in ilk olarak ortaya çıktığı dönemden itibaren fetihler yoluyla diğer medeniyetlerle karşılaşarak kültür ve düşünce alışverişini gerçekleştirmiştir. Abbasiler döneminde hız kazanan tercüme faaliyeti neticesinde, Batı’dan ve Doğu’dan birçok düşünce hareketi, İslam felsefe ve düşün hayatını şekillendirmek üzere medeniyetin bünyesine dahil edilmiştir. İslam medeniyetinin yükseliş döneminde önemli eserler ortaya çıkartılarak, Ortaçağ Batı felsefesi ve düşünce yapısının şekillenmesini etkilemiştir. İçinde yaşadığımız dönemde ise felsefe kavramı Antik Yunan felsefesi ile Aydınlanma sonrası Batı felsefesi ve kuramcıları ile anlam kazandığı görülmektedir. Ancak bu anlayış bizleri, “Doğulu söylemine inandırılmış olan toplumların, içinde yaşadığı evrenin düşün ve felsefe dünyasına etkisi ve katkısı olmamış mıdır? Bu konuya bağımlı olarak, İslami düşünce ortaya çıktığı zamandan günümüze düşün hayatında ve dünya medeniyetinde hep geri planda hareket ederek öncüyle mücadele veren bir artçı konumunda, aklı geri plana atan bir metafizik yaklaşım mı göstermiştir?” sorularını düşünmeye sevk etmektedir. Bu sorular kapsamında yapılan çalışmanın amacı, yukarıda belirtilen sorulara cevap bulmak için Doğu’nun Müslüman felsefi geçmişine kısa bir bakış yaparak, İslam felsefesinin temellerine kısa bir girizgah sağlamaktır.
The system of values that ensures the existence of the individual living within a particular environment provides integrity with the society in which he feels his own. The individual’s existence and self-realization only has a deeper meaning than the consciousness of his physical existence. This is because it requires a civilization based on values. The appearance of civilization can only occur by the appearance of a philosophical consciousness that can define itself. The Islamic Civilization, in which we are also included, has since the period when Islamicism first appeared, through conquests, met with other civilizations and made cultural and thought exchanges. As a result of the accelerating translation activity during the Abbasian period, many thought movements from the West and the East were incorporated into the civilization to shape the Islamic philosophy and thought life. By revealing important works during the ascension period of Islamic civilization, it has influenced the formation of the Middle Ages Western philosophy and thought structure. In the period in which we live, it seems that the concept of philosophy has gained meaning with the ancient Greek philosophy and the Western philosophy and theorists after the Enlightenment. But this understanding is to us, "Is there no influence and contribution to the world of thought and philosophy of the societies entrusted to the Eastern speech, of the universe in which they live? Depending on this subject, has Islamic thought shown a metaphysical approach to the back of mind, from the time it emerged to the present day, in his life and in the world civilization, in a position of an increaser who fights with the forefront by always moving back in the back of the way?” He encourages them to think about questions. The aim of the study in the context of these questions is to provide a short entrance to the foundations of Islamic philosophy by giving a short look at the Muslim philosophical history of the East to find answers to the above questions.
