Konstrüktivist düşünce en çok grafik tasarımın gidişatını derinden etkileyen ileri görüşlü ressam, mimar, mühendis, grafik tasarımcı ve fotoğrafçı El (Lazar Markovich) Lissitzky tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Okuma yazma düzeyinin düşük olduğu dönemde, tasarımcılar temel geometrik formların ve basitleştirilmiş Kiril alfabesine dayalı grafiklerin, hedef kitle için daha anlaşılabilir olacağına inanıyorlardı. Lissitzky tipografiyi iletişimin yanı sıra somut görsel biçim olarak da araştırmıştır. Tipografi ile yaptığı deneysel çalışmalar günümüz tipografisinin gelişmesine etken olmuştur. Lissitzky, mimari mühendislik eğitimi alması nedeniyle tipografiyi yeniden yapılandırmıştır. Bunu mimari tasarımında kullanılan malzemeler yerine görsel ve tipografik öğelerden yeni bir yapı inşa ederek gerçekleştirmiştir. Ayrıca ızgara sistemi için zemin hazırlayan grafik tasarım kurallarını da geliştirmiştir. Bu araştırmanın amacı El Lissitzky’nin eserlerinin günümüze kadar uzanan çağdaş tipografi üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Bu doğrultuda sanatçının eserlerindeki tipografik düzenlemeleri görsel iletişim tasarımı üzerinden incelenmiş ve nitel araştıma yöntemleri kullanılarak literatür taramasından faydalanılmıştır. Eserlerinin günümüz grafik tasarımcılarına ve sanatçılarına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda sanatçının eserlerine grafik tasarım eğitimi içerisinde daha fazla yer verilmesi önerilmektedir.
The constructivist thought was developed by the advanced painter, architect, engineer, graphic designer and photographer El (Lazar Markovich) Lissitzky, who was most deeply influenced by the progress of graphic design. During the time when the level of reading writing was low, designers believed that the basic geometric forms and graphics based on the simplified Cyril alphabet would be more understandable for the target audience. Lissitzky has studied typography as a matter of communication as well as a visual form. His experimental studies with typography have influenced the development of today’s typography. Lissitzky reorganized the typography due to his graduation in architectural engineering. This was achieved by building a new structure from visual and typographic elements instead of the materials used in architectural design. He has also developed the graphic design rules that prepare the ground for the grid system. The purpose of this study is to study the effects of El Lissitzky's works on contemporary typography that lasted to date. In this direction, the typographical arrangements in the artists' works were studied through visual communication design and used qualitative research methods to benefit from literary scan. It is believed that its works will contribute to contemporary graphic designers and artists. In this context, it is recommended that the artist's works be given more space in the graphic design training.

In the era of low literacy, designers believed that basic geometric forms and graphics based on simplified Cyrillic script would be more understandable to the public. Lissitzky explored typography as a concrete visual form as well as communication. His experimental studies with typography have been a factor in the development of contemporary typography. Lissitzky restructured typography due to his architectural engineering education. He achieved this by constructing a new structure from visual and typographic elements instead of the materials used in architectural design. He also developed the graphic design rules that laid the foundation for the grid system. The aim of this research is to examine the effects of El Lissitzky's works on contemporary typography that has reached the present day. In this direction, the typographic use in the works of the artist was examined through visual communication design and the qualitative research method literature review was used. It is thought that his works will contribute to today's graphic designers and artists. In this context, it is suggested that the artist's works should be given more space in graphic design education.
