Bu çalışmanın amacı, mobbingin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinde depresyonun aracı rolünü incelemektir. Ayrıca çalışanların mobbing, işten ayrılma niyeti ve depresyon düzeylerinin demografik özelliklere (cinsiyet, çalışılan sektör, medeni hal, yaş grupları, eğitim durumu ve toplam kıdem) göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek de araştırmanın amaçlarındandır. Araştırmaya, İstanbul’da kamu ve özel sektörde istihdam edilen 238 çalışan katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, mobbingin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinde depresyonun kısmi aracı rolü olduğu bulunmuştur. Çalışanların mobbinge maruz kalma düzeyleri hiçbir demografik değişken açısından farklılaşmamaktadır. Depresyon; çalışılan sektör, medeni hal, yaş ve toplam kıdeme göre farklılaşırken; işten ayrılma niyeti de cinsiyet hariç tüm demografik değişkenler açısından farklılık göstermektedir.
The aim of this study is to explore the role of depression as a medium in the impact of harassment on the intention to leave the job. It is also the purpose of the research to determine whether employee harassment, intention to leave the job and depression levels differ according to demographic characteristics (gender, employed sector, civil status, age groups, educational status and total age). The study included 238 employees employed in the public and private sector in Istanbul. The research data is collected through the survey method. The study found that abuse was a partial means of depression in its impact on the intention to leave the job. The levels of employee abuse are not different in terms of any demographic variables. Depression varies according to the employment sector, civilized state, age and total age; the intention of leaving the job also varies in terms of all demographic variables except gender.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediating role of depression in the relationship between mobbing and intention to leave. In addition, the purpose of the study is to determine whether employees' mobbing, intention to leave, and depression levels differ according to demographic characteristics (gender, sector, marital status, age groups, education level and total seniority). 238 public and private sector employees in Istanbul participated in the study. Research data were collected by questionnaire method. As a result of the study, it was found that depression had a partial mediator role in the relationship between mobbing and intention to leave. Employees' exposure to mobbing does not differ in terms of any demographic variables. Depression levels of employees vary according to the working sector, marital status, age and total seniority. The intention to leave also differs in all demographic variables except gender.
