В жизни каждого человека есть люди, которые могут руководить им как образцом для подражания, как негативно, так и позитивно. То же относится и к ученым и исследователям. В этом контексте идеи кого-то за пределами веков могут направлять, а также влиять на формирование идей и идеалов людей. Идеалы Хусейнзаде Али не только увеличили число его сверстников столетие назад, но и дожили до наших дней. В этом смысле можно сказать, что идеал «единства в языке, мышлении и действии» Гаспирали Исмаила, как последователя Алибей Хусейнзаде, сегодня реализован проф. Якуп Махмудов, директор Института истории Академии наук Азербайджана. Основываясь на этом идеале, проф. Д-р Якуп Махмудов стремился написать общую турецкую историю и придерживаться той же точки зрения для понимания исторических событий и персонажей во всем тюркском мире. В 80 лет он все еще прилагает значительные усилия для реализации этого идеала. В то же время он неустанно выпускает работы по армянскому вопросу и пытается привлечь внимание мировой общественности к несправедливой оккупации Карабаха. По его словам, в тюркском мире должны быть устранены все религиозные различия, поэтому к шаху Исмаилу и Явузу султану Селиму следует подходить с одинаковым уважением. Эта статья посвящена его 80-летнему юбилею.
In every person’s life, there are people who can guide him/her as role models, both negatively and positively. The same applies to academics and researchers. In this context, the ideas of someone beyond centuries can guide as well as influence the formation of ideas and ideals of individuals. The ideals of Husseinzade Ali not only increased the number of his counterparts a century ago, but achieved to survive to the present day. In this sense, it may be said that the ideal of "unity in language, thought, and action" by Gaspıralı Ismail, as the follower of Alibey Hüseyinzade are realized today by Prof.Dr. Yakup Mahmudov, Director of History Institute, at Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. Based on this ideal, Dr. Yakup Mahmudov has been striving for writing the Common Turkish History and for adopting the same perspective to understand historical events and characters in the whole Turkish world. At 80 years old, he still makes an important effort to realize this ideal. At the same time, he tirelessly produces works on the Armenian issue and tries to bring the unjust occupation of Karabakh to the attention of the world public opinion. According to him, all sectarian distinctions should be eliminated in the Turkic world, so that Shah Ismail and Yavuz Sultan Selim should be approached with the same respect. This article is dedicated to his 80th birthday jubilee.
