Bu araştırmanın amacı, yeni göreve başlayan okul müdürlerinin, onların astları ve üstlerinin örgütsel ve mesleki sosyalleşmeyi sağlamak üzere uyguladıkları taktikleri ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmada ayrıca gerekiyorsa sosyalleşmeyi artırmaya yönelik öneriler geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, nitel araştırma desenleri içerisinde sık kullanılan durum çalışması üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu, Ankara İli merkez ilçelerindeki devlet okullarına 27.09.2019 tarihinde müdür olarak görevlendirilen ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 24 okul müdürü oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanan veriler, içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Bulgulardan ulaşılan sonuçlara göre, okul müdürlerinin büyük çoğunluğu göreve başladıkları ilk günlerde kendilerini kaygılı ve heyecanlı hissetmişlerdir. Müdürlerin çoğunluğunun beklentilerinin karşılandığı saptanmıştır. Yeni göreve başlayan okul müdürlerinin örgütsel yaşama ve mesleğe uyum kapsamında uyguladıkları taktiklerin; paydaşlarla iletişimi güçlü tutmaya çalışmak, kendilerinin ve tecrübeli yöneticilerin deneyimlerinden faydalanmak ve yüksek lisans eğitimi almak olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Müdürler, birey olarak okulu etkileme, onda değişiklikler yapma hususunu daha çok psikolojik etki olarak algılamakta ve okulu olumlu yönde etkilediklerini düşünmektedirler. Söz konusu müdürler örgütsel yaşama ve mesleğe uyum kapsamında eğitimler, ortak etkinlikler ve organizasyonlar düzenlenmesini istemektedirler.
The purpose of this research is to reveal the tactics used by newly appointed school principals, their subordinates and superiors to ensure organizational and professional socialization. In the study, it was also aimed to develop suggestions to increase socialization, if necessary. The study was built on the case study, which is frequently used in qualitative research patterns. The study group consists of 24 school principals who were appointed as principals to public schools in the central districts of Ankara on 27.09.2019 and voluntarily participated in the research. The data collected with the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher were subjected to content analysis. According to the results obtained from the findings, the majority of school principals felt anxious and excited in the first days of their employment. It was determined that the expectations of the majority of the principals were met. The tactics applied by the newly appointed school principals within the scope of adaptation to organizational life and profession; It has been determined that trying to keep communication with stakeholders strong, benefiting from the experiences of themselves and experienced principals, and getting graduate education. Principals perceive the issue of influencing the school as individuals and making changes in it more as a psychological effect and they think that they affect the school in a positive way. These principals want to organize trainings, joint events and organizations within the scope of adaptation to organizational life and profession.
