Abstract:

Brain Fit® merkezlerinde yapılan Cognitive Map (bilişsel harita testi), geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik çalışmaları yapılmış, farklı yaş gruplarına göre değişen 10 farklı testin uygulandığı bir değerlendirme sistemidir. Brain Fit egzersizleri dört farklı Smart program içerir. Bunlar smart vision egzersizleri, smart focus egzersizleri, smart listening egzersizleri ve smart moves egzersizleridir. Çalışma smart moves egzersizleri çerçevesinde yapılmıştır. Smart™ Moves programının amacı, etkililiği kanıtlanmış ve kişiselleştirilmiş spor tabanlı aktiviteler kullanılarak çocukların psiko – motor beyin ağını güçlendirmektir. Smart Moves egzersizleri kendi içerisinde 5 farklı egzersizden oluşmaktadır. Bunlar Zero G ve Shaking Ground, Brick House ve Freeze Bee, Base Hooper ve Pluto Bounce, Paint Guest ve Walking Fingers, Space Traveler ve Speed Racer egzersizleridir. Çalışmanın amacı, Brain Fit® egzersizlerinin 4-18 yaş arasındaki çocuklarda psiko-motor beceri gelişimi üzerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmada deneysel araştırma yöntemlerinden “kontrol grupsuz ön test ve son test araştırma deseni” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya Fethiye Brain Fit® Studio’da dört ay boyunca egzersiz programına katılan 93 çocuk dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada Çocuk Hareket Değerlendirme Serisi (The Movement ABC) uygulanmıştır.

Abstract:

The Cognitive Map (cognitive map test) is a system of assessment, in which validity and reliability studies have been carried out, and 10 different tests are applied according to different age groups.®Brain Fit exercises include four different Smart programs. These are smart vision exercises, smart focus exercises, smart listening exercises and smart moves. The work is done in the framework of smart moves exercises. The purpose of the Smart Moves program is to strengthen the children’s psycho-motor brain network using proven and personalized sports-based activities.™The Smart Moves exercise consists of 5 different exercises. These are Zero G and Shaking Ground, Brick House and Freeze Bee, Base Hooper and Pluto Bounce, Paint Guest and Walking Fingers, Space Traveler and Speed Racer exercises. The aim of the study is to explore the impact of Brain Fit exercises on the development of psycho-motor skills in children between the ages of 4-18 years.®The research has used experimental research methods of "controlled group-free pre-test and final test research design".The study included 93 children who participated in the four-month exercise program at Fethiye Brain Fit Studio.®The study was conducted by The Movement ABC (Child Movement Assessment). While evaluating the effectiveness of the four-month program, the control-free "pre-test - final test" design, which is the quantum research method, was used. In the study, the data obtained from the experimental group was analyzed by the depending sampling "t-test". Students who participated in the events repeated the movements given continuously for four months. According to the data obtained at the end of the study, children’s hand skills, trace driving skills, capture skills, balance skills and overall motor coordination skills have been positively increased. As a result, movement and coordination-based mind exercises have been found to provide development in children’s thin motor, crude motor and balance skills. This development has a significant positive impact on children’s both educational and educational lives and post-educational lives.

Abstract:

Motor development begins in the womb and develops at different times after birth. Because motor development is a complementary part for children’s growth and development, it should be included for child education. The ability to move in children is the most important part of their lives. It is known that the biggest and the fastest development in the human body is in the childhood period. It is also the period when the environmental factors affects the human body (Kalkavan, 2005, 8-10). The reliable and valid Cognitive Map test conducted in the Brain Fit® Center is a system to evaluate 10 different test for children in different age groups. Brain Fit® exercises includes four different Smart programs. These are smart vision, smart focus, smart listening and smart moves exercises. This study based on smart moves exercises. The purpose of Smart™ Moves is to improve psychomotor brain network by means of using efficient and individualized sport movements. Smart™ Moves exercises included five different exercises. These are Zero G ve Shaking Ground, Brick House and Freeze Bee, Base Hooper and Pluto Bounce, Paint Guest and Walking Fingers, Space Traveler and Speed Racer. The aim of our study was to investigate the effect of Brain Fit® exercises on the development of psychomotor skills in children aged 4-18 years. This study used a pretest posttest experimental design without control group. Ninety-three children who enrolled in the exercise program for four months in Fethiye Brain Fit® Studio was voluntarily participated in this study. The Movement ABC was used for evaluating the children’s psychomotor development. The related samples t-test was used to analyze the pretest and posttest scores. Based on the t-test analyses, it was found that the children who participated the Smart™ Moves exercises for 4 months improved the hand, track, catch, balance, and overall motor coordination skills significantly. As a result, these exercises had an effect on children’s fine motor, gross motor and balance skills.
