Abstract During the Covid-19 pandemic, nutrition status of the society is significantly affected besides physical activity, sleep, education, business and social experiences etc. Balanced nutrition is required to have a good immune system. The aim of this study is to examine the nutritional habits of people in Thrace region in the Covid-19 outbreaks and to determine whether there is a relationship between nutrition habits and Covid-19 disease. The data of this research were collected in the first half of 2021. The participants of the study consist of individuals living in the Thrace region (Çanakkale, Edirne, Istanbul Europe, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ). The surveys are conducted with 1023 participants aged 18 years and above. Near the half of the participants (44.9%) got PCR tests. 17.8% of the participants declared that they have gone through the Covid-19 illness. There is no statistically significant relationship between gender, blood type, BMI, use of alcohol and getting caught to Covid-19. There is statistically significant relationship between smoking, daily water intake, exercise habits, daily meal count, being vegetarian, vitamin-mineral supplements consumption and getting caught to Covid-19. The most consumed drink is black tea. With 43.1%, water is in the first place in consumption increase since Covid-19 pandemic. The other foods with consumption increase are; food supplements vitamins, minerals (41.1%), vegetable-fruit (40.6%), onion-garlic (38.1%), yoghurt (36.6%), nuts (31%). Bread has the highest decrease in consumption (%29.7) among the foods since Covid-19 pandemic. Participants decreased their consumption of bakery products by 29.3% and pastries by 18.1%. Nearly (43.99%) of the participants prefer fruits between meals, 32.36% prefer biscuits, chocolate, etc., 31.8% prefer nuts, 21.21% prefer desserts, 7,33% prefer salad. 26.98% of the participants indifferent, 10.56% do not eat anything between meals. In order to complete the Covid-19 epidemic period in a healthy way, conscious nutrition and sports should be done.
