Bu makalede önce kısaca İmranlı ilçesinin tarihi gelişimi ile inanç coğrafyası üzerinde durulmuştur. Daha sonra İmranlı ilçe merkezi ile buraya bağlı kasaba ve köylerdeki ziyaret yerleri ve bunlarla ilgili çeşitli inanç ve uygulamalar verilmiştir. Ziyaret, adak, dede, baba, şeyh, eren, evliya, yatır ve türbe gibi adlarla anılan bu ziyaret yerleri ile onlara belli inanç, efsane ve kerametlerin atfedilip çeşitli dilek ve isteklerle onların ziyaret edilmesi olayına, inceleme alanımız olan İmranlı çevresinde yaygın olarak rastlanılmıştır.
