The ability to use the Internet and digital devices (IDCK) has become a necessity due to the increasing distance education and working processes with the Covid-19. The risk of becoming a victim of cybercrime has increased due to the increasing use of internet and digital devices and the digital divide. Even though institutions and organizations make an effort to inform their stakeholders about online processes, lack of experience in distance education and working processes emerged as an important factor for creating negative results. It is thought that this result may be due to the fact that individuals accept that their internet and digital device usage skills are at a sufficient level. For this reason, it is important to learn the thoughts of individuals about their own internet and digital device usage skills. In this study, individuals' thoughts about their own IDCK skill levels and the factors affecting these thoughts were examined. Sequential logistic regression analysis and marginal effect analysis were applied to the data obtained through the questionnaire applied to 522 people living in Osmaniye. According to the results, it was determined that individuals over the age of 50, university graduates, men and individuals working in the private sector in the participants tend to see themselves as more skillful than others in terms of IDCK skills. Other factors that affect individuals' assessment of their own IDCK skills, specific to the sample discussed, were determined as the operating systems used, the frequency of legality checks in the use of the website, the control of links in e-mails and posts, the awareness of the increase in the risk of cyber victimization, and the acceptance of state surveillance.
