Çoğu araştırmacı tarafından “iç içe birleşik cümle” kapsamında değerlendirilen iç cümleler, tek başına var olabilen bağımsız bir cümlenin başka bir temel cümlenin ögesi veya temel cümleye ait bir ögenin tamamlayıcısı olduğu yapılardır. Türkçede bağımsız bir cümle yeri geldiğinde bir isim gibi işlem görebilmektedir. Bu cümleler tıpkı isim gibi temel cümle içinde değişik görevler üstlenirler ve temel cümleye doğrudan veya değişik ek ve edatlar alarak bağlanırlar. İç cümlelerin çözümü ve yorumu temel cümleninki kadar önemlidir. Bu cümle yapılarının tercih edilmesinin birden fazla sebebi olabilir. İç cümlenin temel cümle içindeki kullanım özellikleri anlatıcının fikir dünyası, karakteri ve konuşma üslubundan izler taşır. Bu çalışmada, Orhun Yazıtlarındaki iç cümleler incelenmiştir. Bu iç cümlelerin temel cümle içindeki görevleri sınıflandırılmıştır. İç cümleler, temel cümleye bağlanış şekillerine göre gruplandırılmıştır. İç cümlelerin öge dizilişleri, zaman değerleri tespit edilmiştir. Kullandıkları iç cümlelerden hareketle Bilge Kağan ve Tonyukuk’un üslupları hakkında bazı çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur
Internal phrases evaluated by most researchers within the framework of the "internal united phrase" are structures in which an independent phrase that may exist alone is the subject of another basic phrase or the complement of an object of the basic phrase. In Turkish, when an independent phrase comes to place, it can be processed as a name. These phrases take different tasks within the basic phrase, like the name, and are linked to the basic phrase directly or by taking different add-ons and edits. The solution and interpretation of internal sentences is as important as the basic sentence. There may be more than one reason for the preference of these sentences. The characteristics of use in the basic phrase of the inner phrase are traced by the narrative's world of ideas, character and speech style. In this study, the internal sentences in the Orhun Writings were studied. The functions of these internal sentences are classified within the basic sentence. Internal phrases are grouped according to the forms of linking to the basic phrase. Internal sentences are identified, time values are identified. From the inner sentences they use, some conclusions were found about the wisdom of Kağan and Tonyukuk's slogans.
