Ebû Dâvûd Süleymân b. el-Eş‘as b. İshâk es-Sicistânî el-Ezdî ö. 275/889 Kütüb-i Sitte’den sayılan “Sünen” adlı eserin sahibidir. Hadis ilminde Buhârî ve Müslim’in de hocaları sayılan hocalardan hadis dersi almıştır. Hadisçiliği oldukça sağlam olan Ebû Dâvûd İlel/rivayetlerdeki gizli kusurları bilme, râvîlerin cerh ve ta’dîl durumlarını bilme konusunda oldukça mahir bir muhaddis olduğu söylenmiştir. Hadis bilgisinin yanında fıkıh ilminde de temayüz etmiş bir muhaddistir. Hadis ilminde oldukça velûd olan Ebû Dâvûd kendi yaşadığı devirde adet olmayan bir çalışma yapmıştır. Bu çalışma kendi eserini başka eserlerle karşılaştırma kabilinden olup bu konuda Risâle Ebî Dâvûd ilâ ehli Mekke fî Vasfi Sünenih adlı eserini kaleme almıştır. Ebû Dâvûd mezkûr eserde Metrûku’l-hadis sayılan hiçbir râviden hadis almadığını ifade etmiştir. Bu itibarla kaleme aldığımız bu makalede nihai hedefimiz Ebû Dâvûd’un Sünen adlı eserinde Metrûku’l-hadis sayılan râvilerden hadis rivayet edip etmediğini tespit etmektir.

He is also a narrator who has distinguished himself in the science of fiqh as well as hadith knowledge. Abu Dawud, who wrote a lot of works in the field of hadith, made an unusual work in his age. This study can compare his work with other works and he wrote up the work named Risala Abi Dawud ila Ahl Makka fi Wasfi Sunanih. Abu Dawud stated that he had not had hadith from any narrator who had abandoned hadith in the work in question. In this article, our final aim is to find out in his work named Sünen whether Abu Dâvûd narrated the hadith from the narrators who had abandoned hadith.
