20 in Russia. The century begins with a revolution and among those who put the foundations of the revolution, although not much is spoken, there are women. Alexandra Kollontay, from these women, met Marxist thought at the age of 20. His encounter with Vladimir Lenin in Paris made it possible for his contributions to the October Revolution of 1917, his labor and marxist passion to the government. Kollontay, the first female minister of the Soviet government, is one of the major representatives of Marxist feminism. In particular, she defended women’s rights, saved her from marriage bond and male sovereignty and made a lot of effort to ensure gender equality. In this context, Kollontay, which has published various reports, has also written novels and stories, and in his work he has aimed to reach every section of the public using a very simple and simple language. The feminism thought, which aims to ensure that women have equal rights and freedoms with men, is divided into various hands by the influence of different ideological flows and ideologies. The Marxist feminism, one of them, is separated from other feminist ideas by associating the liberation of the woman first with the collapse of the capitalist system. Another contribution of feminist thought occurs in the field of literature. With the emergence of feminist literature criticism, the female subject in literature begins to be studied both writer and reader-oriented and new fields of research are open. In our study we first discuss the emergence of feminism and the formation of marxist feminism. The theory of feminist criticism arising from this thought is discussed and its general characteristics are explained. Kollontay's novel, which tells about the relationship between the new woman and the new man, which she dreamed of since the early days of the revolution, as well as the new perspective she brought to the bond of love and marriage, Vasilisa Malıgina, is studied according to the theory of feminist criticism.

Kollontay, who was the first woman minister in the Soviet government, was one of the important notables of Marxist feminism. She was the defender of women right and she made a huge effect for women to get rid of marriage bond and male dominance and constitute an equality between genders. In this regards, as well as publishing various proceedings, she wrote novels and stories. In these works, she aimed to reach every part of the society by means of employing a plain and simple style. The idea of feminism, which aims women to have equal rights and freedoms with men, is divided into various branches with the influence of different ideas and ideologies. One of these, Marxist feminism differs from other feminist ideas by associating the liberation of women with the collapse of the capitalist order. Another contribution of feminist thought is in the field of literature. With the emergence of feminist literary criticism, the subject of women in literary works is dealt with as both author and reader-oriented and new fields of research are created in the field of literature. In this article, at first, the emergence of feminism and the formation of Marxist feminism are mentioned. The theory of feminist criticism, arising from this thought, is discussed and the general characteristics are explained. Kollontay’s novel Vasilisa Malygina, in which she wrote dreams for equality of women and men from the beginning of the revolution and new points of view for love and marriage bond, is examined according to feminist criticism theory.
