It is important to carry out content analysis studies for the examination of articles published in scientific journals so that researchers can see the current situation in the literature more clearly and produce more qualified and functional research problems. In the light of this, the study focused on the Erzincan University Journal of Education Faculty, the first issue of which was published in 2002, publishing original scientific articles on education and field education, and scanned by national and international indexes. In the study, 55 articles on mathematics education published from the first issue to the fortieth issue until 2020 were examined in terms of the number of authors, titles of authors, distribution of articles according to publication years, preferred research approaches, designs, sample types, sample sizes, sample selection techniques, data collection tools, data analysis methods and source types. According to the findings obtained through descriptive content analysis, it was observed that the articles mostly have two authors, the title of the authors is mostly doctor that the articles on mathematics education have been published in the journal since 2004, and there has been an increase in the number of articles on mathematics education published in the journal except for the years 2013 and 2019 that the research approach of most of the published studies is not specified that mostly case study design is preferred in the articles that the authors mostly refer to international sources that they work on undergraduate students that they choose the achievement test as the data collection tool and mostly used f/% tables, descriptive analysis (qualitative) and content analysis.
