Encouraging the adoption of a pro-environmental behavior is critical in order to reduce the environmental impacts and to move toward a more sustainable future. University education plays an important role in training individual who have an important role in protecting the environment in the future. The aim of this study is to identify university students attitudes and behaviors and to determine whether there are significant differences between college students depending on their environmental course, age, gender, class level, settlement, parental education, parental occupation. This study was carried out with 748 university students attending to the Kocaeli University. The instrument used for data collection is the Environmental Attitudes Scale and a socio-demographic questionnaire form. Although student's attitude toward environmental issues differs regarding age, class level, fathers education and occupation and whether the students took lesson about environment issues doesn’t differ regarding mother’s educational level, occupation, gender, settlement.
