Abstract:

High-talent children are seen to be more advanced in terms of cognitive skills than their normal age. Problem-solving is also defined as a process that helps the child to use both his internal and external abilities, which enhances his fields of abilities and responsibility, and is an effort to overcome the challenges faced in the process of achieving a specific goal. Every problem that high-talent children face will allow the existing potential to be moved. An important step will be taken in the way of the superior talented children who are facing their problem situations and who are hard to find a solution to these problems to reach their real potential. This study examines the relationship between the level of intelligence and problem-solving skills of the superior talented children who are ongoing to Kırşehir Bilsem. The method of causal comparison was used. Wisc-R IV is applied to children informed by teachers through the application form. Tests are performed at different times and individually. Intelligence levels have been studied the relationship between these students by applying the "Problem Solution Skills Scale". Although it is not statistically meaningful, the highest correlation is between the WISC_R intelligence test results and the "Problem Solving Skills Scale Sum" p=0,077; r=0,470 . The correlation ratio is r=0,470, compared with two values, the Wisc-R intelligence test results and the problem-solving skills scale, there is a positive relationship between the average score of 0.30-0.70.
