The Capacity of Teaching for Preprimary Classes in Primary Schools of Sindh Province

The present study aimed at finding out the capacity of teaching for preprimary classes in primary schools of Sindh province with focusing the scope; capacity of building in a school, suitable size of classrooms, availability of furniture, needs of classroom, boundary wall around school, suitable gate of school, availability of school’s ground, availability of laboratory, availability of teaching aids, teachers having the abilities to usage of teaching aids, co-curricular activities of syllabus be continued, ability to teach the available syllabus in teachers, availability of nonteaching staff in school, possibility of students to visit the schools along with parents, possibility of students to come at schools by rented vehicles. The population of study comprised of the government primary schools of Sindh province. Survey method was used for conducting the research. Stratified Random Sampling technique has been used for selecting the sample of 1280. The questionnaire was used for collecting data which consisted of 16 items with five-point likert scale and the research hypothesis. Moreover, inferential statistics was used for testing of hypothesis i.e. Chi Squire Test. According to majority of District Administrators, there is no more capacity in the school buildings for preprimary classes. However, extension in the space of existing classrooms is suitable. According to majority of them, there are no furniture and necessary items in the classrooms of the schools. Most of the schools situated near much populated areas do not have boundary walls while door is suitable. Many schools lack facility of play ground with no laboratories. On the existence of teaching aids, a mixed tendency has emerged. Majority of teachers have no capability to prepare teaching aids. Most of the schools get their students involved in co-curricular activities. Majority of existing teachers are not capable to teach their classes. The schools do have non-teaching staff. There is a mixed tendency to accompany female students by a family person. There are very few examples of availing hired transportation by the students, while there is no possibility that schools administration provide transportation to the students.
