Abstract:

The aim of this study is to identify the opinions of teachers candidates on biomimicry practices in STEM training. This study was carried out with 17 teachers candidates in a state university's educational faculty of science knowledge teaching in the 3rd class in the 2017-2018 educational-educational year's good period. In the research methods of quality research has been used the situation study design. The study used the "Biomimicry Information Form in STEM Training" as a quality data tool developed by the researcher. The results of data analysis have found that teachers candidates for biomimicry practices in the STEM training have a positive view, they consider using these practices in their courses. In addition, it is also seen that these applications have developed many cognitive and psycho-motor features of teachers candidates. Teachers' candidates have changed their views of nature and technology. But it is also understood that teachers candidates also mix engineering design processes and scientific process skills.
