Abstract:

Social services are a discipline aimed at both fert and the well-being of society. All kinds of support for disabled, elderly, debtor, impoverished, slaves, passengers, sentenced, unemployed children and women shall enter the field of social services. In addition, activities that facilitate the living conditions for society as a whole and improve the quality are also included in the scope of social services. Omer B. Abdülazîz is one of the most important caliphs of Islamic history and Emevîs in the practice of social services. He has put an end to some of the wrong practices of his predecessors, especially in the Maldives. So the vast majority of government income was transferred to social services for society. As a result, the groups under the social services listed above have been supported in all matters, and the practices of education, education, and health care have been spread to the general community. The main purpose of this study is to show that the concept of social service is actually applied as content in the Islamic civilization in the period of Omer B. Abdülazîz (99-101/717-720).

In addition, activities aimed at the general society are included in the scope of the social services. Omar b. Abdulaziz is one of the most important caliphs of Islamic history on social work practices. He ended some of the wrong practices in the financial field. Thus, the majority of state revenues were transferred to social services. As a result, the groups in the social services mentioned above have been supported in all subjects. Purpose of this study is to show that the concept of social service is actually applied in the context of Islamic civilization, in the special of Omer b. Abdulaziz period.
