Although there are enough publications in Islamic art, which is spread over a wide geography, it is seen that the examination of Islamic art in terms of its inner meaning and form language is not done enough. This study aims to examine the abstraction and the perception of space, which are reflected in the visual arts of Islamic civilization. The visual form language of art is expressed in space. By looking at these spaces, which are generally divided into vertical and horizontal spaces, an idea about the origin and belonging of art can be obtained. The Islamic civilization, which has reached new syntheses by benefiting from the artistic approaches of different cultures and societies with the conquests, has created a unique art grammar. Islamic art goes beyond the visible reality and shows a graphical and straightforward abstraction in a vertical space. This space, which provides multiple perspectives and multiple time dimensions to art, ensures the correct expression of the truth.
