Individuals who are defined as disabled need both special education and special treatment within the family, which is not incomplete but not excessive. With the fact that they need help throughout their lives and that their parents will probably pass away before them, it is important for these individuals to have a life center that will enable them to live happily without feeling stranger and to maintain the living standards and habits that their parents provided during their lives. Within the scope of the study, the Independent Living Center (ILC) design parameters, which are thought to be designed for different individuals, and these principles according to the special conditions in different places and times based on the basic functions, it is important to adapt some functions by simplifying / changing and / or adding them, and it is aimed to be a guide for a center to be prepared on a similar subject. By putting forward the characteristics and needs of different minds individuals who are the users of the space, the spaces to be included in the scope of ILC and their relations have been determined, and principles that will play a role in the design of the spaces in line with the functional quality and universal design have been established. In line with these principles, some specific suggestions have been made to the users and designers of the space.
