Amaç: Bu çalışmada öncelikle Borsa İstanbul’da (BIST) bilişim sektöründe yer alan firmaların etkinlikleri ile finansal performanslarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Daha sonra ilgili işletmelerin etkinlikleri ile finansal performansları arasındaki ilişki ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmada işletmelerin etkinliklerinin belirlenmesinde Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA), finansal performans sıralamalarının elde edilmesinde de Gri İlişkisel Analiz (GİA) Yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışma sonucunda genel olarak VZA ve GİA yöntemlerinin sonuçları arasında bir tutarlılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda Gri İlişkisel Derecelerine (GİD) göre sıralamada ilk 7’de yer alan işletmelerin %85’i 2014, 2015 ve 2018 yıllarında etkin olarak tespit edilmiştir. 2016 ve 2017 yıllarında GİD’e göre sıralamada ilk 7’de yer alan işletmelerin de %100’ünün etkin olduğu görülmüştür. Özgünlük: Katma değerinin yüksek olması nedeniyle bilişim sektörü Türkiye ekonomisi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma, bilişim sektörü işletmelerinin etkinlikleri ve finansal performanslarının birlikte ele alınarak değerlendirilmesini içermesi bakımından özgünlük taşımaktadır.

Purpose: In this study, firstly it is aimed to determine the efficiency and financial performances of the companies that are traded in the information sector in Borsa İstanbul (BİST). Later, the relationship between the efficiency and the financial performances of the companies is tried to be revealed. Methodology: In the study, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is used to determine the efficiency of the companies and Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) method is used to obtain the financial performance rankings of the companies. Findings: As a result of the study, it is determined that there is a consistency between the results of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) methods. In this direction, 85% of the enterprises that are in the top 7 in the ranking according to their gray relational degrees are determined to be efficient in 2014, 2015 and 2018. In 2016 and 2017, 100% of the enterprises that are in the top 7 in the ranking according to their gray relational degrees are determined to be efficient. Originality: Due to the high value-added information sector is important in terms of Turkey's economy. This study is of originality in terms of evaluating the efficiency and financial performances of companies in the information sector together.
