In recent years, the number of international students coming to Turkey for higher education is on the increase, and the needs of these students are the focus of interest for researchers in the field. The academic performance and achievements of these university students should be followed and more in-depth research should be conducted taking into account the opinions of the stakeholders regarding their problems and needs. The purpose of this research is to determine the problems and needs of international students in terms of academic writing while using Turkish for academic purposes during their university education. It also aims to analyze the teaching situations regarding academic writing teaching by investigating the views of experts. In this study, which was carried out as a case study, data were collected through semi-structured interviews from six experts in the field of Turkish as a foreign language. For the analysis of the data, we used descriptive analysis and content analysis, that are among the qualitative analysis methods. The findings are interpreted based on the literature and suggestions are made regarding the field.
