Bu araştırmada lise öğrencilerinin okul yaşamının niteliğine ilişkin algıları ile okul bağlılıkları arasındaki ilişki yapısı ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın evreni, 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılında Çankırı ili merkez ilçesine bağlı 10 lisede öğrenim gören toplam 5814 kişilik öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Ancak evrenin tümüne ulaşılmasının mümkün olmaması nedeniyle araştırma, evren çekilen 410 öğrenciden oluşan örneklem üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Bu kapsamda katılımcılara ‘Okul Bağlılığı Ölçeği\' ile ‘Okul Yaşamının Niteliği Ölçeği\' uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verileri aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, yüzde, frekans, korelasyon ve çok değişkenli regresyon teknikleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada katılımcıların okul bağlılık düzeyleri ile okul yaşamının niteliğine ilişkin algılarının orta düzeyde gerçekleştiği saptanmıştır. Ayrıca okul yaşamının niteliği ile okula bağlılık arasında orta düzeyde ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmada son olarak okul yaşamı niteliğine ilişkin alt-boyutların, okul bağlılığının anlamlı birer yordayıcısı oldukları da belirlenmiştir. Bu bulgulara dayalı olarak öğrencilerin okul yaşamının niteliğine ilişkin algılarının, okula bağlanmaları bakımından önemli bir etmen olduğu genel sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, the perceptions of high school students about the nature of school life and the structure of the relationship between school commitments were detailed. The universe of the research consists of a total of 5814 students studying in 10 high schools connected to the Central District of Chankırı in the 2011-2012 educational year. However, because it was impossible to reach the whole universe, the research was carried out on a sample of 410 students who were drawn from the universe. In this framework, participants were applied 'School Liability Scale' and 'School Life Quality Scale'. The research data was analyzed using arithmetic average, standard deviation, percentage, frequency, correlation and multi-variable regression techniques. The study found that participants' perceptions about the level of school commitment and the nature of school life occurred at a medium level. It has also shown that there is a medium and meaningful relationship between the nature of school life and commitment to school. In the study, the last sub-dimensions related to the quality of school life are also determined as a meaningful contributor to school commitment. Based on these findings, the general conclusion has been achieved is that the perceptions of the students about the nature of school life are an important factor in their connection to school.
The present research investigated the relationship between students\' perceptions toward the quality of school life and their school engagement in detail. The population of the study consisted of 5814 students from ten schools which were located in central districts of the province of Çankırı in academic year of 2011-2012. However, for it was impossible to reach the population, the study was conducted on the sample which was composed of 410 students. Participants filled in the ‘Scale for School Engagement\' and ‘Scale for Quality of School Life\'. Data were analyzed with arithmetical mean, standard deviation, percentage, frequency, correlation and regression techniques. In the end, it was seen that participants\' opinions on school engagement and quality of school life was in medium level. In addition, it was understood that there was a significant relationship between school engagement and quality of school life. It was also found that quality of school life was a significant predictor of school engagement. Based on these findings it was concluded that quality of school life is a vitally important factor for the students to engage their schools.
