Çalışmanın amacı; Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin serbest zaman ilgilenimleri ve yaşam doyumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın problem cümlesi; Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin serbest zaman ilgilenimlerinin yaşam doyumları üzerinde etkisi var mıdır? Araştırmanın evrenini; Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi, Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Örneklemini ise; rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile tüm bölümlerden seçilen 102’si kadın 159’u erkek olmak üzere toplamda 261 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak; araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu, Kyle vd., (2007) tarafından geliştirilen “Serbest Zaman İlgilenim Ölçeği” ve Diener vd., (1985) tarafından geliştirilen “Yaşam Doyum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan verilerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla frekans ve yüzde analizi, ölçek puanlarının normal dağılıp dağılmadığını belirlemek için basıklık (kurtosis) ve çarpıklık (skewness) analizleri, değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi tespit etmek amacıyla t-testi ve ANOVA testleri ve iki değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi tespit etmek amacıyla pearson korelasyon testi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin serbest zaman ilgilenimlerinin yaşam doyumu üzerinde doğrudan ve olumlu yönde etkili olduğu bulunmuştur.
The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between leisure time interests and life satisfaction of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The problem statement of the study is; Do the leisure time interests of the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences have an effect on their life satisfaction? The population of the study consisted of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences students. The sample consists of a total of 261 students, 102 female and 159 male, selected from all departments by random sampling method. Personal information form prepared by the researchers, "Leisure Time Interest Scale" developed by Kyle et al. (2007) and "Life Satisfaction Scale" developed by Diener et al. (1985) were used as data collection tools. Frequency and percentage analysis were performed to determine the demographic characteristics of the data, kurtosis and skewness analyses were performed to determine whether the scale scores were normally distributed, t-test and ANOVA tests were performed to determine the relationship between variables, and Pearson correlation test was performed to determine the relationship between two variables. As a result of the research, it was found that the leisure time interests of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences had a direct and positive effect on life satisfaction.
