Bu çalışmanın temel amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünme becerilerini tespit etmek amacıyla geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Bu kapsamda literatürde yer alan ölçek geliştirme basamakları dikkate alınarak bir eleştirel düşünme becerisi ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. İlgili araştırmada geliştirilmesi hedeflenen ölçeğin geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik verilerini elde etmek amacıyla nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli işe koşulmuştur. Bu doğrultuda öncelikle ilgili alana ait literatür taraması yapılarak bir madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan madde havuzunda 296 madde yer almaktadır. Daha sonra 296 madde içinden ortaokul öğrencilerinin seviyesine uygun olacağı ön görülen 35 aday madde tespit edilmiştir. Aday maddelerin geçerliliği ve güvenilirliğini tespit etmek amacıyla uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Uzmanlardan alınan görüşler doğrultusunda aday ölçek son şeklini almıştır. Daha sonra aday maddelerin yapı geçerliliğini sağlamak amacıyla beş ve altıncı sınıf düzeyinde eğitim gören dört ortaokul öğrenci ile sesli düşünme tekniği uygulanmıştır. Sesli düşünme tekniği sonrası katılımcıların anlamakta güçlük çekeceği veya birden fazla şekilde anlamlandırılabilecek maddeler revize edilmiştir. Ölçeğin son hali 264 ortaokul öğrencisine tekrar uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin iç geçerliliğini tespit etmek amacıyla elde edilen veriler online ortama aktarılmış ve açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Ölçeğin güvenilirliğini sağlamak amacıyla Cronbach Alfa değeri hesaplanmıştır. Gerekli geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışmaları ardından ölçeğin 5 boyutlu olduğu ve alfa değerinin .732 olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçeğin son şeklinde 24 soru yer almaktadır.
The main objective of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale to identify the critical thinking skills of high school students. A critical thinking skill scale has been developed taking into account the scale development stages included in literature. Scanning model from quantitative research methods has been employed in order to obtain validity and reliability data of the target scale to be developed in the relevant research. In this direction, a material pool was created first by scanning the literature of the area concerned. There are 296 materials in the pool. Afterwards, 35 candidates from 296 matters were identified that would be in accordance with the level of high school students. Expert opinion has been requested in order to determine the validity and reliability of the candidate materials. According to the opinion of the experts, the candidate scale took the final form. The vocal thinking technique was then applied with four high school students who were trained at the fifth and sixth grade level in order to ensure the structural validity of the candidate materials. After the voice thinking technique, the subjects that participants will have difficulties in understanding or can be understood in multiple ways have been revised. The final scale was reapplicated to 264 high school students. The data obtained in order to identify the internal validity of the measurement has been transmitted to the online environment and is subject to the analysis of the detection and verification factors. The Cronbach Alfa value is calculated to ensure the reliability of the measurement. After the necessary validity and reliability studies, the scale was 5D and the alpha value was .732 . There are 24 questions in the final form of the scale.
The main purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale to determine the critical thinking skills of secondary school students. In this context, a critical thinking skill scale was developed considering the scale development steps in the literature. In order to obtain the validity and reliability data of the scale, which was aimed to be developed in the related research, the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. In this direction, first of all, an item pool was created by literature review of the relevant field. There are 296 items in the item pool. Then, out of 296 items, 35 candidate items that were predicted to be suitable for the level of secondary school students were determined. Expert opinion was asked to determine the suitability of the candidate items. In line with the opinions of the experts, the candidate scale took its final form. Then, in order to ensure the construct validity of the candidate items, the thinking aloud technique was applied with four secondary school students studying at the fifth and sixth grade levels. After the thinking aloud technique, the items that the participants would have difficulty in understanding or that could be interpreted in more than one way were revised. The final version of the scale was administered to 264 secondary school students. In order to determine the internal validity of the scale, the data obtained were transferred to the online environment and subjected to exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. In order to ensure the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach Alpha value was calculated. After the necessary validity and reliability studies, it was seen that the scale had 5 dimensions and the alpha value was .732. There are 24 questions in the final form of the scale
