The energy needs of the internal combustion engines are usually met by fossil fuels. Renewable energy sources are attracted to researchers due to the extinction of fossil fuels over the day. Biogas is an alternative fuel produced from organic waste. This study has studied the impact of the amount of diesel fuel in a diesel-biogas double-fuel engine on emissions. The tests were carried out on a four-cylinder 1.6 l four-time, water-cold, over-filled, common-line fuel spray system with a four-cylinder diesel engine. No changes have been made to the original settings of the engine's electronic control unit. In dual-fuel studies, 20% of the engine’s energy needs were met with diesel, 30% and 40% of the engine’s energy needs. In experiments, the engine moment was changed between 40 Nm, 60 Nm and 80 Nm, and the engine turn was fixed at 1750 d/d. HC, CO2 and NOx emissions have decreased due to the increase in the amount of diesel fuel while the emissions have increased. The increase in the amount of biogas sent to the cylinder has increased both the amount of fuel burned in the pre-mixed burning phase and the NOx emissions. The CO2 contained in biogas has increased the emissions of HC and is by dissolving the combustion air mixture.
