Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi eğitim almakta olan çocukların dil kullanım becerileri ile ebeveyn tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Çerkezköy ilçesinde bulunan 5 farklı anaokulu ve anasınıfından 150 öğrenci ve anneleri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında Eskinazi (2003) tarafından geliştirilen “Dil Kullanım Ölçeği”nin “Özellikler” alt ölçeği ve Demir ve Şendil (2008) tarafından geliştirilen “Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler tanımsal, çıkarımsal ve ilişkisel teknikler ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, katılımcı öğrencilerin çoğunun dil kullanım becerilerinin orta seviyede olduğu; ebeveyn tutumlarından en çok demokratik tutumun benimsendiği; dil kullanım becerileri ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı; ebeveynin gelir düzeyi, çocuk sayısı ve annenin eğitim durumu arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu görülmüş ve dil kullanım becerileri ile ebeveyn tutumları arasında anlamlı bir ilişkiye rastlanmamıştır.
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the language use skills of children in pre-school education and their parental attitudes. The sample of the study consists of 150 students and their mothers from 5 different kindergartens in Çerkezköy district. In the study, relational research model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. “The Characteristics” subscale of the "Language Use Scale" developed by Eskinazi (2003), and the "Parental Attitude Scale" developed by Demir and Şendil (2008) were used to collect the data. Data were analyzed with descriptive, inferential and relational techniques. As a result of the research, it was found that most of the participant students had medium level of language use skills; among the parental attitudes, the most democratic attitude was adopted; there was no significant difference between language use skills and gender; It was observed that there was a significant difference between the income level of the parents, the number of children and the educational status of the mother, and no significant relationship was found between language use skills and parental attitudes.
