Historical buildings carry the past culture, social values and architectural features to present. It allows us to reach a lot of information with the functions, architectural features, texture and material of the buildings. Each building is designed to meet the needs of the period in which it was built. As time changes, needs change and some structures may become unable to meet needs. In this case, instead of demolishing the buildings and building new ones, re-functioning our values, having historical aspects, and incorporating them into life is a sustainable method for transferring the buildings to future generations. In this study, the re-functioning of the Ice House building in the central district of Sinop province is discussed. Brief information about the history of the building was given, and its architectural and structural features were mentioned. After gaining the function of Cultural Center, architectural, structural, mechanical - electrical installation and environmental changes in the building were mentioned and the social, cultural, economic, architectural, environmental and aesthetic contributions of the building to the city were evaluated. The re-functionalized building has been transformed into a more extroverted and functional one. The fact that some of the old materials were used in the building reflects the old function and spirit of the building to the visitors. The re-functioned building has contributed to the city in many ways
