Abstract:

Over the past few years, there has been a number of efforts to increase the participation of citizens in the city administration. Because participation in the city administration is very important in raising public awareness and ensuring the confidence in local governments. Participation enables people to better manage themselves by removing their deficiencies in skills and relationships. As the quantity and nature of participation increases, the citizens’ confidence and quality of life are also improving. Participant management, known as participation or decision making in local decisions, encourages the participation of stakeholders at all levels of an organization in the analysis of problems, the development of strategies and the implementation of solutions. In local governments, the success of participating management depends on careful planning and a gradual approach. In the presentation of public services in the context of the role of the management, the authority to increase the influence of local governments, provide public services, planning and management and the local economic development are considered as the core aspects. These are strategic elements for local governments to develop participating management and innovative sustainable practices. The participation of people is considered as an important factor contributing to the success and well-being of local governments. People’s participation in local governments does not only produce good results and makes the participating management more attractive. This study aims to take steps towards the identification, development and settlement of the role of local governments in the provision of public services, which encourages local people and civil society’s cooperation.
