The sexist role-sharing imposed by social facts is internalized in all layers of society, especially in the family. Therefore, the gender inequality that spreads to the whole society from within the family causes women to be exposed to many discriminations in the economic and social fields. On the other hand, violence against women resulting from the asymmetrical power relationship between men and women, that is, gender inequality created by the patriarchal culture in society, causes an increase in the power and pressure on women. Therefore, violence against women is a universal development problem in both developed and developing countries. In this context, the values, mechanisms, and tools that cause the reproduction of femicides that occur as a result of violence against women should be questioned. In this study, femicides recorded in Turkey during the 2008-2021 period are evaluated within the framework of qualitative econometric methods. For this purpose, news data of recorded femicides handled one by one. In the study, a qualitative analysis of the news contents was carried out by using the news data of 4508 registered femicide, based on the reflection of the news on the media and the Nvivo package program was used.
