Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının yazma alışkanlıklarını, tercihlerini, tutum ve inançlarını çeşitli boyutlarıyla ortaya koymak ve öğretmen adaylarının yazmaya ilişkin olumsuz tutumlarının nedenlerini belirlemek bu araştırmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Nitel araş-tırma yaklaşımıyla gerçekleştirilen araştırmada durum çalışması desenlerinden kolektif durum çalışması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araş-tırma verileri araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen açık uçlu görüşme formları aracılığıyla toplanmış, verilerinin analizinde betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini sınıf eğitimi programı 1. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 195 öğretmen adayı oluş-turmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının bilgisayar yerine el yazısıyla yazmayı tercih ettikleri ve el yazısının klavyeye göre daha kolay olduğunu düşündükleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının yazma alışkanlıklarının olmadığı, yazı yazmaktan hoşlanmadıkları, ancak kalıcı olması, duygusal rahatlama sağlaması ve kişisel özgürlük sunması gibi nedenlerle yazmayı önemli bul-dukları araştırmanın önemli sonuçları arasındadır. Öğretmen adayları sosyal etkinlikler, internet ve sosyal ağlarda geçirilen sürenin fazla olması gibi nedenlerle yazmaya fazla zaman ayırmadıklarını, duygusal yoğunluğun olmaması nedeniyle de yazmada zorlandıkla-rını belirtmişlerdir.
The aim of this study is to put forward the writing habits, preferences, attitudes and faiths of preservice teachers and also to deter-mine the reasons for the negative attitudes towards writing of pre-service teachers. One of the qualitative research design, namely the collective case study design was used in this study. Data were collected through open-ended interview forms developed by the researchers and descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of research data. The participants of the study consisted of 195 pre-service teachers who are studying in the 1st and 4th degrees of Elementary Education major. As a result of the study, it was revealed that pre-service teachers preferred to write with handwriting instead of using computers and they thought that handwriting was easier than using keyboard. It is among the important results of the research that while pre-service teachers do not have writing habits and do not like writing, they found that writing is important since it is permanent and provides emotional relief and personal freedom. Pre-service teachers stated that they did not spend much time on writing due to reasons such as social activities, internet and more time spent on social networks, and they had difficulty in writing due to lack of emotional intensity.
