This study primary 6th Science and Technology in the classroom curriculum, "What is the earth's crust made up of?" unit is about the level of understanding of the concept were to be determined. For this purpose the students 6th consists of 15 multiple-choice questions test the concept was developed. Moreover, the concepts of this unit the students to identify reasons for the misunderstandings of the Likert-type survey was carried out. Demographic characteristics of this process is being done is taken into account. Survey results were analyzed using SPSS statistics program was found. Success and Likert-type questionnaire, found five primary schools in selected future of the 6th 371 students studying in the classroom, connected of the Elazig National Education Directorate, in the second half of the 2007-2008 academic year were applied.
