Bu çalışmanın ana amacı, Türkiye’de kadınların parlamento üyeliğine ilişkin seçim sürecinde, seçim sonrası milletvekilliği döneminde ve milletvekilliği dönemi sonrasında karşılaştıkları sorunları ortaya çıkarmak, tespit edilen sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri ve alternatif kamu politikaları geliştirmektir. Araştırma esnasında veriler yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat ile toplanmış, görüşme yapılacak vekiller ölçüt örneklem tekniği ile belirlenmiştir. Siyasi temsil sürecinin tüm aşamalarını tamamlamış olmaları bakımından yalnızca 23. Dönem’de (2007-2011) milletvekili olan ve sonraki dönemde seçilmemiş milletvekillerinden, görüşmeyi kabul eden beş milletvekili ile mülakat gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın, Türkiye’deki kadın parlamenterlerin siyasal temsil sürecinin tüm aşamalarında yaşadıkları problemleri toplumsal cinsiyet çerçevesinde inceleyen nitel çalışmalardan birisi olarak akademik yazına katkı sağlayacağı değerlendirilmektedir.
The main objective of this study is to identify the problems they encounter in the election process, post-election period and post-election period of women's parliamentary membership in Turkey, to develop solutions to the problems identified and alternative public policies. During the research, the data was collected by semi-structured interviews, the representatives to be discussed were determined by the measurement sampling technique. Only 23 of them have completed all the stages of the political representation process. In the period (2007-2011) the meeting was held with five members of the parliament who were elected and not elected in the subsequent period. The study is estimated to contribute to the academic literature as one of the qualitative studies that study the problems that women parliamentarians in Turkey experience in all stages of the political representation process in the framework of social gender.
The main objective of the research is to find out the problems met by women related to the parliament membership in Turkey, during the periods of election, parliament membership after the elections, and postparliament membership to develop solution proposals and alternative public policies related to the assessed problems. The data was gathered by using semi structured interview during the research and the parliament members were selected by using criterion-sampling technique. To have a group, who were completed all the phases of a political participation progress, the interviews were implemented only by the woman parliamentarians who were elected for the 23th parliament period (2007-2011) and were not elected for the following term. Hereby it’s evaluated that, the study will contribute to the literature as being one of the qualitative surveys in Turkey, concerning the problems met by women parliament members during all phases of the political progress by means of gender perspective.
