Abstract:

There is a mutual relationship between language and society. This relationship reflects the world view of the society in which the language is spoken. When it comes to the historical and contemporary Turkish language materials, it seems that the concepts related to women hold a wide range of spaces. Therefore, the study of word existence is important in terms of the position of the woman in the Turkish society. In this study, from Harezm Turkish works Nehcü'l-Ferādįs, Kısasü'l-Enbiyā, Mukaddimetü'l-Edeb, Muìnü'l-Mürìd and Line Inter-Current Translation and Harezm-Altın Army Turkish works Husrev u Şįrįn and Ibni Mühennā Lugâtı scaned and identified words have been studied by dividing them into eight main categories according to the conceptual fields they indicate. Some of the words identified are names of the biological gender of the woman, while some indicate the social gender of the woman. It is also revealed in which period and in which texts the Turkish language first passed. If there are words that change their meaning in the Turkish history, they are also referred to in the meaning of change. The meaning of each word is focused on which circle of Turkish is found. This study was aimed at contributing to the historical existence of the Turkish language, which was attempted to identify the women’s view of society by moving from periodic texts.
